It has been nigh on two weeks since a post has been lain here. I understand that things became boring, people thought I was dead and overall, everyone believed that this was a forgotten thing.

That is not the case however.

What is the case is that I have been busy working for the people over at ZoKnows Gaming, prepping their articles, meeting new people and overall, having a big-boy job. Yes, sounds dull, but you should try it – it makes life entertaining.

Okay, I realize that they are putting things like Spiderman with the musical stylings of fucking Bono and whomever his sideman is and that’s supposed to save the spiraling industry that is the performing arts on Broadway. They have lost millions in the past years, going from over 50 shows in a season to nearly 15 – and I understand that’s a scary thought. Kids grow up, they want their flashy 3D with their sexy little blue-kitties and all of their Bay-splosions and what have you.

But you have GOT to be kidding me when you put something like Green Day’s entire album, transfer that and then songs from the down-trodden 21st Century Breakdown (sorry guys, punk died three years ago, even though we enjoyed your company) and make this abomination of musical and theater. There is no creation here… there is no art: you have your actors swinging around from the ceiling like Peter Pan for no damned reason for what? Is that a metaphor for the world running away from you? Or perhaps youth is fleeting and you realized it, with the birth of this nonsense?

What’s worse is that they did receive two Tony’s from this (they are like the Grammy’s in the Theater world), but it was only for the Stage and Lighting. Not for acting, not for choreography, and not for the musical score. If you’re a student at Virginia Tech, there’s a professor here that has received three himself for two shows he has put up on Broadway – one just last year – in Directing, Acting and Stage Development. (In truth I’m gloating… leave me be).

So in the end, what have we learned kids? You don’t put up a show with any musical group on Broadway. It’s dumb and a waste of everyone’s time. Plus, it makes everyone dumber by comparison. I mean think about it. Do you really want your teens to think that American Idiot was the thing that went on Broadway, and not something like West Side Story, Chicago, Grease, or Rent? Hell, the Lion King or Cats (even though that last one scared the shit out of me…).

If you’re reading this on Monday night, congrats… because this means that you are quick and that you know the news early. If it’s Tuesday, way to fail. Because I have neglected my duties here at home, and because of last week that was E3, I need a day to recoup and clean the hell out of the apartment.

As many of you are going to notice, a lot of my movie and geek news is going to die out, if not drown, this week. Fear not, because it will return come Friday and be back in full swing on Monday, but for right now… hold your breath.

As in the previous post, this is the week of E3 – the Electronic Entertainment Expo. The time for people to come together from the industry: Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, and show what they have been working on and what they will be doing in the upcoming year. Jobs have been lost and made during these four days, careers have been crushed and placed on a pedestal for generations. It’s that kind of big deal.

So I’m going to try and bring you the biggest and best news that I can, because that’s just what I do. I’ll try my hardest to make sure it’s to the moment and that it is right when it happens, but bear with me – I do have a job (sadly, this again ISN’T my job, as much as I want it to be) and I have to make accomodations to that. Still, if you want to help out, let me know. If you hear something, leave me an email or a tweet at least.

But by all means, you can just watch and listen, without waiting for me. G4TV and Gametrailers.com have some live streams going of everything going on, ign.com also (XBL does for their stuff only, but you could sneak a peek of other people’s I reckon.)

Oh Look! I did something different again…

As you can obviously tell, things got a little rearranged last night, and came out shiny and new. Now this isn’t finalized – there are still some other things that need to be tweaked and added – but this is the start of a beautiful creation. As always, you need to comment, you need to post and let me know what is and isn’t working in the world of The Angry Bear and give me my much needed ego trip.

It is my full prerogative to take a vacation every now and again. I want to stress that point out very clearly for the few people that I got emails from, wondering if I had died. I didn’t die… I just went to the beach.

But I am back, and with my return, come changes as always. As I type this, I am in talks with a person to actually re-write the site and not just have me and Chasef going through the motions. Not only that, I’m doing the sad and desolate thing of putting together a Facebook group/page… thingy for the site. That way you can share with your friends, co-workers, that guy you met once down at the 7-Eleven [/shameless plug]. It’s going to be big.

So what have I missed while I was out? Lost finally ended, and apparently didn’t answer enough questions (by the way, it was all the dog’s dream – they are still lying to you). Then people lost their minds over Super Mario Galaxy 2 (I understand why… and I love it). The movies MacGruber and Shrek dropped…. and MacGruber bombed so hard I think I have a bruise where my wallet sits. Seriously the movie only made $4 million opening weekend. If someone caught a peek at it, let me know how it stood up to Wayne’s World. I’ll wait for the DVD.

Or will I? In two piece of news that I will go into detail next, the Theatrical Streaming possibilities has hit a high mark, and it’s happening. Companies are already working on deals to both stream right at your doorstep, and prices. Along those same lines, sex-icon of the Transformers movies Megan Fox has officially quit the third movie. This to me is hilarious, while the first bothers me on numerous levels.

So let’s just sit back and relax, because the Bear is back… and he is going to walk you through this one step at a time.

Today is the last day of exams, and because of that, I have be extremely busy with an Autism Seminar and wrapping things up with TA-ing for classes. With that being said, I am going to have to put my news on hold again… but that’s alright because there is always Twitter and lord knows there are going to be plenty of things that will be said.

So enjoy the day off, enjoy the things that will come out of my mouth, and in turn, have fun with this little snippet of a “Tik Tok” parody. It makes me giggle.

As I’ve mentioned earlier, this week is my creation of hell-week over for my real life. As mentioned over and again, I love this job and I wish I could do this for a living. That isn’t the case and this week glorifies that. Thankfully, after May 3rd, this will become my pseudo-employment (except maybe for some minor Beta testing) so the news will come hard and fast, the updates will come quick and painless, and I’ll stop wearing pants.

IN THE MEANTIME! you can always get ahold of me or follow the news I find. I’ll even give you a hint – I find a whole lot of shit that I can’t post about because of time – but I’ll post it on Twitter.
